GEO320™ (MRH™) Mastic Roller Hybrid bio-bitumenTM asphalt for road paving construction is world first environmentally friendly and non-petroleum breakthrough technology. GEO320 MRH bitumen is made from low molecular weight materials like Sugar and Molasses, vinasses, natural tree and gum resins, natural latex rubber and vegetable oils, lignin, cellulose, palm oil waste, coconut waste, peanut oil waste, canola oil waste, potato starch etc. Ecopave Australia™ is also currently researching the use of a dried sewerage effluent to produce GEO320™ MRH™ bitumen, the dried effluent is currently used as a fertilizer around the world. GEO320™ MRH™ bitumen can also be made from the waste material derived from cleaning used motor oils by fractional distillation. In other words Ecopave Australia™ is able to manufacture GEO320™ MRH™ Bitumen from water-soluble natural renewable resources (non-petrochemicals) as well as from "recycled" petrochemical materials.
GEO320™ MRH™ Asphalt Bitumen prototype (MM) Micro Mastic asphalt has been field tested in line marking applications by RTA South Australia since 1996, and RTA New South Wales passing the AS4049 line marking Standards. Boral asphalt field trial since 2000 and ARRB Benchmark bitumen testing AS2008 in 2002. GEO320™ MRH™ has proven to have high durability, fatigue, solvent, cracking, rutting and skid resistance, has glass beads for reflecting light for road safety, it comes in dry granulated form no hot storage is required and is non fuming. GEO320™ MRH™ (MM™) Micro Mastic asphalt™ is compacted at low temperatures 90 deg C Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) the aggregate mix in the (MM™) can also be made from alternative rock sources eg, recycled crushed brick and concrete to help preserve our natural rock reserves. The inherently lighter asphalt surface of GEO320™ MRH™ Asphalt helps to reduce the "Heat Island Effect" by providing cooler road surfaces.
